About Gregory Myers

My journey as a photographer has been shaped by a life rich in experiences and encounters.

Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, I’ve always had a sense of adventure, a curiosity about the world, and a deep appreciation for the diversity of human experiences. Growing up, my dad nurtured my love for photography by taking me on photo excursions to explore the city’s iconic landmarks and hidden corners. We’d wander through the vibrant Flats, where I was fascinated by the trains, iron ore ships, and tugboats traversing the Cuyahoga River. We’d marvel at the architectural wonder of Terminal Tower, experience the bustling atmosphere of the West Side Market, and ride the historic light rail to the charm of Tower City.

Our explorations often led us to University Circle, the city’s cultural heart, where we’d spend hours immersed in the world-class collections of the Cleveland Museum of Art, wander through the serene beauty of the Botanical Gardens, and admire the grandeur of Playhouse Square’s historic theaters. Our adventures extended beyond downtown, to the shores of Lake Erie, the historic Cleveland Stadium, the vibrant cultural hub of Little Italy, and the lively streets of Ohio City. This early exposure to the diverse landscapes and vibrant cultural scene of Cleveland ignited my passion for photography, a passion that has only grown stronger over time. This passion led me to join the service right out of high school, an experience that opened a whole new world of possibilities.

My military service offered an incredible opportunity to immerse myself in European culture. Stationed in the picturesque Cotswolds region of England—with its rolling hills, charming villages, and historic pubs—I felt like I’d stepped into a storybook. For three years, I explored every corner of this captivating country. Countless weekends were spent in London, a city that became a second home. I wandered its bustling streets, from the iconic London Bridge to hidden alleyways steeped in history, marveling at landmarks like Buckingham Palace and the Tower of London. Beyond the city, I explored the legendary Sherwood Forest and majestic castles like Warwick Castle, immersing myself in the rich history and folklore of England. And while England held a special place in my heart, my service also provided opportunities to travel throughout the Middle East, encountering diverse cultures and broadening my perspective on the world.

My European adventures extended beyond England to Spain, where I lived for three years, immersing myself in the Spanish way of life. From the charming villages of the Pyrenees to the historic aqueduct of Segovia, I explored every corner of this vibrant country. I wandered through ancient Roman ruins, sun-drenched vineyards, and historic monasteries, soaking up the rich culture and diverse landscapes. In Madrid, I spent countless hours in the Plaza Mayor, experiencing the city’s vibrant energy. I journeyed south to Andalusia, exploring the Moorish architecture of Granada and the flamenco scene of Seville. I even ventured to the Rock of Gibraltar, crossing the Strait to experience the magic of Morocco. My travels also led me to Greece, where I explored the ancient wonders of Athens and the idyllic island of Kos. These experiences across Europe ignited a passion for exploring diverse cultures and capturing the essence of each place through my lens.

My passion for exploration knows no bounds. From the vibrant shores of Key West to the rugged coast of Maine, I’ve traversed the United States, captivated by its diverse beauty. I’ve been awestruck by the red rocks of Sedona, the grandeur of the Grand Canyon, and the stark landscapes of the Badlands. Whether calling the Black Hills of South Dakota or the forests of Northern Michigan home, I’ve sought out authentic experiences, connecting with local cultures and immersing myself in the heart of each place. These journeys have deepened my appreciation for this country and fueled my desire to capture its essence through photography.

After my military service, I found myself drawn to the majestic beauty of Colorado, where I now reside. The Rocky Mountains, with their towering peaks and vibrant colors, inspire me daily. My camera is my constant companion as I explore this state and beyond, capturing the grandeur of natural wonders and the intimacy of everyday moments. Through it all, I strive to tell stories with my lens, weaving together the threads of my experiences and the unique beauty I find in every corner of the world. I believe photography is about capturing a feeling, a memory, a story – images that evoke emotion, spark curiosity, and transport viewers to another place and time.

I invite you to explore my portfolio and experience the world through my lens.
